Passion, emotionally charged, introspective and beautiful
- all words that personify the cutting edge style of Eche,
the exciting new talent on the L.A. art scene Creating pieces
for a growing Hollywood clientele, Eche is quickly attracting
a wide range of collectors. His extraordinary style mixes
the best of modern and traditional, combining the passion
of a new generation with the artisanship of an old master,
a rare gift that is uniquely Eche.
Eche (pronounced ?Etch?) was born Oscar Echeverria in Michoacan
Mexico on July 3,1972. From the early age, he displayed extraordinary
talent and despite coming from a conservative working class
family, his gift did not go unrecognized. By the end of his
teens, he was accepted to the prestigious Otis College of
Art in Los Angeles. What lay ahead was a long, arduous road
which Eche now considers to be his ?Spiritual Right of Passage.
In 2003 Eche was invited to take part in an event hosted
by the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce, where his art was
exhibited alongside the works of Anthony Quinn and Pablo
Picasso. His
accomplishments are numerous but, if you ask Eche, his
most proud moments are those that benefit children’s charities,
like Shriner’s Hospital, Star Light Star Bright Foundation,
Nosotros and Buena Nueva. He also works with troubled teens
like those from The Central Juvenile Hall where he organized
a workshop and collaborated with the teens to create a
mural in honor of Cesar E. Chavez Day.
Eche uniquely connects with the energies surrounding us and
intuitively conveys and unites visions and raw emotion. Thus,
creating an ideal collaboration of imagery, that transcends
beyond the walls of society and into the souls of all people
